The William Morris gallery is facing closures and a slow death to make way for privatised regeneration, (luxury flats). The utopian ideas, work and art of William Morris is in danger of being bulldozed aside for a generic design on culture. The picnic hopes to bring life and colour to his home town on his birthday, and show the local people that there is still life in his memory, and hopefully show the council that there is wide public dissent against the closures.
Bring banners, posters, placards, artwork, images, poems, music and song to circle the William Morris Gallery.
