The London to Jerusalem Bike 2006

42 cyclists from all kinds of backgrounds and nationalities are now in training for their epic 6 week bike ride from London to Jerusalem!
Some are cycling all the way, some part of the way, but they are all making this incredible journey for one reason - to call for justice for the Palestinian people and real and lasting peace for all the people of the Middle East.

Below is the message from one of the participants sponsored by Bubble Jam, Shaf da Bass (best known for his hard dance antics - promoting and DJing at Oblivion and Logic)

"The conflict between Israel and Palestine is steadily getting worse. The people suffering the most are the innocent civilians living on both sides of the fence whether Palestinian, Israeli, Muslim, Jewish or even Jewish Palestinian (yes they do exist!), most want a just and lasting peace so they can live normal and equal lives.
Myself and a group of like minded cyclists will be embarking on a journey of a life time in the hope that we can do something, anything, in order to try to change the situation – even if it is just raising awareness of how serious and urgent it now is.
On August 6th 2006 we will be departing from Embankment Gardens in Central London and passing through France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Switzerland, Italy, Syria, Jordan, Israel and Palestine."
